If only I could unsee....

Supernatural used to be an amazing show all around. The characters were amazing, the acting was a little rocky in the beginning but eventually became absolutely fantastic and the plot lines we're interesting. However, only the first five years were planned out by Eric Kripke. After those five years, he left the show and it hasn't been the same since. If I could unsee something it would be Supernatural after the season five finale. I recommend a lot of shows to different people, but when I recommend Supernatural to people I tell them to pretend there is nothing after season five. And the finale works great as a series finale.
If you've never seen the show it's worth watching the first five seasons. The series revolves around Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) Winchester. They were born into the life of hunting the supernatural. When the show started out each episode was them running around the nation killing creatures, but slowly it started to have a thicker plot and from then on it was this fascinating story.
But now that Kripke is gone the show has gone to shit! It wasn't until the last few episodes that aired did it seem like the characters were back on track at all. Last season it seemed like there was no real plot lines. This year, the only idea they have had is to kill off the very few main characters the show has ever had. I'm guessing their trying to shock the audience, I really don't know. It's hard to even try to care. But I invested the time to watch the show for that long I have to see it through. It's like a chore every Friday night. I wish they would have cancelled it after season five. That way the show could go out with a bang. The saddest part is that people are now tuning into this show, and a lot of them haven't seen the previous seasons and that's such a shame. I just wish this abortion of a show would end! Keeping it around isn't doing the show or the actors any justice.

The Final Season....My appreciation, sadness, and excitement

If your a television junkie like me then you know that there is nothing worse than falling in love with a great show and then four or five seasons into the series it turns to the worst show ever! All too often this is what happens. As sad as it is to see a great show get cancelled or just end sometimes it's better for it to happen so the show can go out with a bang. There are two shows I love dearly and they had some awesome seasons and then the show shifted and either changed and sucked or just sucked because the writers used up all their good ideas. But today I'm focused on the one that is premiering it's finale season tonight.

I remember the night I saw the commercial for One Tree Hill. Somehow I had managed to not see it until about 15-20 minutes before the pilot premiered. From the first commercial I knew I was going to love the show. To be fair, I was a teenager when the show started now as an adult I had to continue watching even though I get a ton of shit from everyone I know. In my opinion, the last great season they had was season four. And yes by the time season five premiered it was well past the time for the characters to grow up but the show was never the same. It lost so much of it's magic and that is expected when a show jumps four years in the future. This is my go to show, I watch it all the time. If something in my life sucks, I'm sick at home, or I just want to feel that feeling again every time I see it. For me, it was more than a show. I know it sounds crazy, but there is something about the show that makes me smile like a child every time I go back and re watch season 1-4 which is often, I can quote the show all the way thru for those seasons and can tell you a specific convo or line and what episode it is from what song was playing etc. It just makes me happy. As someone who feels this strongly about the show, I am sad to see that 17 hours from now, the ninth season will be premiering. I almost wish it was put off for a long while because then there is hope to see my favorite show again sometime in a new episode. I know the actor are probably done to close this chapter of their life, but I will they got 10 full seasons. I mean Smallville got 10 seasons, why can't OTH? Oh well. I guess all I can hope is that season nine is amazing even though I'm not a fan of some of the characters that joined the show over the past few season, but who knows. 50 Years down the road, I'll be able to watch the show and smile from ear to ear and fell the excitement race thru my veins as I watch eagerly and feel the same magic I did when the show started when I was 16. Sometimes I wish I never loved tv so much or go wrapped up in shows like this.  But as Ellie once told Peyton, "Every song ends but is that any reason to not enjoy the music? OTH, Please don't disappoint this year!

NBC Giving Community the Axe?

It's a good possibility now that Community has been benched for the mid season. It's so sad to think that there won't be anymore Troy and Abed in the morning bits, no one telling Britta she is the worst, no fights leaving Jeff to give one of his famous speeches, we'll never hear Shirley talking about Jesus, Annie won't have another melt down and Pierce will never make another hilarious racist comment!!! NBC can't cancel Community! For those of you that haven't watched the show you should. Just start from the pilot and keep going from there. I'm gonna be totally honest with you, In the beginning I thought this show was terrible, but my boyfriend kept watching and I'd catch a few scenes here and there when passing thru the room he was in and I didn't understand why he watched the show. He insisted I give it a shot, so I did, and I'm so glad I did. The show is about seven entirely different people that make up a study group at Greendale Community college. They have have their ups and downs as any group of friends would but in the end their all there for each other when they need it. These misfits are hilarious and the only thing they have in common is that their all crazy in one way or another. Joel McHale plays Jeff , recently dis bared from practicing law, who is the groups leader, Abed played by Danny Pudi is a television obsessed guy that can't really relate to people socially, Troy played by Donald Glover is a recent high school graduate from a local school, ex classmate of his is also in the group, Annie played by Allison Brie, then there is the high school drop out and most annoying character to the rest, Britta played by Gillian Jacobs and then you have the late 30s African American very religious  divorced mother of two Shirley Yvette Nicole Brown and last but not the least the always racist old man, Pierce played very well by Chevy Chase. Although their all so different they find ways to come together and do great things. This is a must watch and must be kept on television series! I would like to hope that NBC will at least give them a fourth season so that the viewers can see the group graduate from college. I know the creator Dan Harmon absolutely adores this show as does the rest of the cast. It's only right they they get a full ending and get one more year (at least) of insanity together. If only NBC was like Abed, they'd give 'em six seasons and a movie! If all fans step up and speak out it is possible to be heard! We need to stick together and prove that the fans are still here and that we want Community to go on! A few years ago there was a show on CBS called "Jericho" and season one was awesome. It was cancelled so fans rallied together and sent in over nine tons of nuts (an inside joke from Jericho) to CBS to get another half season. Community fans could do that as a lost resort. Any ideas or if anyone has petitions or anything to save Community leave comments here for others to see. NBC PLEASE DON'T CANCEL COMMUNITY!!!
